Week 8 Reading and Writing

Overall in the Myth and Folklore class I believe the reading and writing assignments are working really well for me. I key in on what I enjoy in the reading assignments and it is making the stories much easier to make. I am very happy with my blog and Project website. I am somewhat satisfied with how the writing is going so far for the project and story posts, I do believe i could possibly up the quality of these posts though. I believe my biggest accomplishment in the writings for this class would be taking the plot from another story and applying it to a totally different story that  have created. My favorite reading so far would definitely be the one where the lion tries to say that all of the portions of the meat are his. The reading notes I have been writing after the readings are definitley helping me when I go to write the story over them, and they help remind me what that story was about.

The image I have chosen was the one of the Indian elephant. I believe I used this image in the story of the elephant and the ants. I chose this image because it really reminds me of the time I went on a safari when I was living in Africa.

Looking Forward there is nothing that i really need to change other than work on my proof reading and making sure that I closely tie the story I create to the plot of the original myth and folklore story.

Week 9 Reading: Mans Best Friend Betrayal

There once was a middle-aged archery hunter named Scott. He and his wife Amy lived in Utah where they raised there very trustworthy Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retriever named Bell. Scott’s best friend Jimmy was the owner of a bow shop called nocked and ready. Scott and Jimmy would spend all their time together in that shop reminiscing on old stories or at the range where it was a constant competition. Scott brought bell everywhere with him whether it be the archery shop or shooting. With this Jimmy had grown very close to bell as well. Scott would go on very long hunts sometimes for a week or two weeks and needed someone to watch over bell when he was gone and when Amy was at work.
