Reading Notes: Homer's Odyssey Part A

The story I read for the Tuesday reading was the land of the Cyclopes. This story was a little hard to follow and form a plot for it, but this story was about where the cyclopes lived and their interactions with the rest of the islands. The cyclopes did not make a point to meet with their neighbors. The cyclopes are given everything on their island by the gods so there is no need for interaction with others, they have sheep for food, and they have an abundance of woods. This was a very interesting story that I am very intrigued with, and hope to read more about.

  1. Hi Drew, just to check and make sure: you read all of Part A, right? There is lots of action that takes place as Odysseus battles Polyphemus the Cyclops and then as he has to fight the witch Circe in the rest of Part A. Part B is about other adventures; all the Cyclops stuff is here in Part A, 1-2-3-4-5. :-)
